Worthington Chapel, an appeal for some historical information please?

Worthington Chapel, an appeal for some historical information please?

Worthington Chapel was built 200 years ago, but due to Covid, normal celebrations were put on long term hold, instead a leaflet is almost compiled charting the History, from being built for the Primitive Methodists, to being purchased from them by a servant girl, Sarah.

This is where things get a little confused, apparently Sarah was in the employ of a farmer, Mr Gilbert, who lived in or around Breedon. We have been unable to confirm Sarah's surname, or even if Mr Gilbert was a person.

The question is does anybody know of any Gilbert's in Breedon? Is there any one in Breedon who may be able to help us? The time period is 1800ish to 1830ish.

If there are any history buffs out there or you have any knowledge of this please could you send any information to our clerk Sam or alternatively Linda Farley on 01530 223973.
