Christmas in Wilson

Christmas in Wilson

Thanks for sharing:

'Twas the weekend before Christmas and all through Wilson, villagers took part in a socially distanced walk around the village to hunt for 15 cheeky elves and make a wish at the wishing tree in the bus shelter.

After dark on the Sunday, villagers were once again invited to take a socially distanced walk to look at the amazing lights and decorations displayed around Wilson. Take away mulled wine and fruit punch was provided by Ian and Jo at the Bulls Head which warmed everyone up before walking over the bridge and creeping by the big man himself who was found snoring in a local barn!
To ensure Santa woke from his slumber on Christmas Eve, the winner of the Wilson Elf Trail, Ida Stockley, age 4, kicked off the 6pm bell ringing by ringing the 'Wilson Santa Bell.' All other bells in the village then rang out which successfully woke Santa in time for him to take a tour of the village by tractor and trailer to the delight of children and adults alike before heading out to start his stocking filling. Thanks for the support from the Parish Council and Bulls Head Pub for the wonderful Christmas tree on the green and to various villagers for organising the events which lifted everyone's spirits.'
