Breedon Group PLC have recently submitted proposals to Leicestershire County Council for the review of old mineral permissions (ROMP) for Breedon Quarry – this is not a planning application but ensures that the currently permitted operations are operated in an acceptable manner in line with modern legislation.

Another application has also been submitted to extend the life of Breedon Quarry until 2078 when it is believed the current permitted reserves will be exhausted. Neither the ROMP submission nor the S73 application make any significant alterations to the current permitted operations.

Breedon Group would normally hold a public exhibition when submitting schemes such as this but unfortunately due to the current pandemic this is unable to happen.

Attached are some information boards which would have formed the basis of a public exhibition. The full application can be viewed on Leicestershire County Council's website.
