Have your say - Edging back of overgrown vegetation and overgrowth on footpaths

Leicestershire County Council have a Highways Parish Fund that has become available following the recent pandemic; a small amount of money has been allocated to the parish to use to fund improvements on the network, providing they are safe. The stipulation required to be successful for the application is that the project must support social distancing and active travel.

Edging back of overgrown vegetation and overgrowth on footpaths is a request that hasn't been granted by County Council due to funding and man power. This has been an issue for many years, despite the many requests made by the Parish Council on behalf of the community.

Taking the footpaths back to the original width, to create more space and cutting back hedges would make walking around the villages much safer and easier to adhere to social distancing.

If you would like to request a location regarding the above attention please send your request through to clerk@breedonparishcouncil.org.uk by 20th September 2020.
