EMA Volunteer Opportunity - National 'Keep Britain Tidy' Campaign - Sunday 20th September 2020 - Airport Trail litter pick

On Sunday 20th September East Midlands Airport is organising a litter pick along the airport trail as part of the 'Great British September Clean' – a national week of litter-picking activities promoted by national charity - Keep Britain Clean.

We are collaborating with our local communities and volunteer groups, including the North Leicestershire Litter Wombles, to pull together a team who will clear away the litter that has gathered around the trail over the last six months.

Our 10km airport trail, which follows the perimeter fence, is a wonderful resource for people who enjoy a good walk, as well as those who love to 'plane spot' at our picnic area. Sadly a small minority of those who use the trail have been leaving behind litter. We are calling on all friends of East Midlands Airport, both our colleagues and those living in our local communities, to come and support us on the day. A briefing will take place at 10am – all equipment will be provided – if you are interested in registering to support the event – even as little as an hour could make a bit difference - or for more information please email community@eastmidlandsairport.com
