Changes to Bus Services (155) affecting Breedon

Changes to 155 and 120 Buses

County Council has developed a new Passenger Transport Policy and Strategy (PTPS) to ensure its passenger transport provision is fit for purpose and cost-effective. These enable the Council to review all of the bus services it financially supports and to assess the case for continued support against the Strategy scoring system.

The review for services 120 (Coalville to Leicester) and 155 (Coalville to Castle Donington) is complete. The intended course of action is to integrate the two services and operate on a reduced frequency, with East Midlands Airport no longer being served.

To talk about potential local transport solutions which communities might develop to complement and/or improve the county council's offer the County Council is holding a Community Engagement Meeting:

  • Coalville: 12:50pm - 2:50pm on Monday 7 October at Marlene Reid Centre, 85 Belvoir Road, Coalville, LE67 3PH
  • Breedon on the Hill: 5:15pm - 7:15pm on Thursday 10 October at St Hardulphs (C of E) Primary School, Main Street, Breedon on the Hill, DE73 8AN
