Councillor Election Nomination packs are NOW available!

Packs contain Nomination Papers in a plastic wallet and guidance papers etc loose in the pack.

Re-standing Councillors can apply for a Register of Electors in their ward from the 26th March not before.

Packs to be returned to the monitoring officer at NWLDC between March 22nd (NOT before) and 3rd April – DEADLINE 3rd April before 4pm. Packs MUST be HAND DELIVERED (although someone else can return it on their behalf.)

It is advised that you have your papers checked when returning them. NWLDC have an appointment system therefore if you would like your papers checked please book one! Officers will deal with ALL applications in the order they are received.

DO NOT leave your papers at the reception desk – They MUST be given to the Monitoring Officer or her delegated office.

The count will be done overnight this year and published asap. PLEASE DO NOT ring in before checking elsewhere. We should know on the 4th April if an election is required.

NWLDC is piloting a new voter ID. Every voter needs to prove who they are. The form of ID for NWL is the Poll Card. This MUST be presented when voting – if you lose your card it can be replaced up to 24hours before the day of election.
