Serving the people of Breedon on the Hill, Tonge and Wilson

Breedon Parish Hall is a brand new construction, situated on the Cameron Homes development ('Highwoods Green'), adjacent to the village green. It opened for business on 1 July 2023 and will represent the Parish communities of Breedon on the Hill, Tonge and Wilson.

The facility has been set up as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and registered with the Charity Commission as Charity Number 1203242. It is run by a committee of 10 people, 8 of whom are designated as Trustees. In addition, we are supported by 2 caretakers, who will share the responsibilities of the caretaking role. We have also engaged a local cleaner and window cleaner. The gardens surrounding the Parish Hall are managed under contract as part of the main contract for the Highwoods Green development.

The hall is absolutely state of the art in terms of running costs (solar panels, air-source heat pump, air conditioning and excellent thermal insulation). It comprises a main hall, an upstairs meeting room, a kitchen, toilets (male, female and disabled) and a car park for 14 cars, including 2 disabled spaces, at the front of the building. The Main Hall a fantastic audio-visual system that will be used to screen main events, film nights or presentations. The system will be able to play music suitable for any type of function.

The Hall is ideal for group meetings, village and private functions, presentations, sporting clubs, hobby clubs, in fact anyone to wants to meet like-minded people for whatever (legal!) purpose, may do so! The meeting room upstairs is capable of seating about 12 comfortably. The WI and the Breedon Parish Council have already committed to holding their meetings at the new hall and we look forward to welcoming other local groups. The main hall will hold 100 people seated and 180 standing. We have an online booking system up and running on our website, which is part of the Breedon Parish Council's website.

In order to comply with the public building use, we have to provide certain policies to give a general level of safety under which we will operate for everyone. These will be able to be seen on the website as we further develop each of those policies.

The Chairman of Trustees is Rob Hounslow, who lives in Breedon and if you would like to contact him, email him at breedonparishhall@gmail.com
